story-to-pack: add the corpora and the catalogue v2/v3

Fourteen corpora split and classified: aesop, bierce, chekhov, holmes,
keefe, lawson, lorimer, maupassant, nobody, plaintales, poe, torchy,
wallingford and winesburg, each with its splitter and the hand-written
groups and pages; catalogue v2 and v3; and the shared splitters
gutenberg_chunks.py, se_split.py and se_build.py.

# Situation catalogue v3
166 entries: v2's 82 plus 84 found in nine more hand references read on Opus on 2026-09-23. The new references are
Lawson, *Winesburg, Ohio*, the Jack Keefe stories, *Plain Tales from the Hills*, *Get-Rich-Quick Wallingford*, three
volumes of Torchy, *The Diary of a Nobody*, Lorimer's *Letters from a Self-Made Merchant* and Aesop.
Every entry and mapping is written by hand. No inference.
`../` (v1) and `../v2/` are untouched: v1 is the answer key for the pre-registered classifier test in `../README.md`.

## Results
- **Books set in one world recur. Collections of unrelated tales do not.** Per corpus, recurring situations out of situations present:

- **The work-and-money gap is filled.** Most of the new entries come from the workplace and money corpora (Keefe, Torchy, Wallingford, Lorimer, Lawson, Nobody): pay, rank, the boss, the door to the powerful, debt, speculation.
- **Confirmation across books.** The new corpora found 52 of v2's 82 entries again. Of the 84 new entries, 36 already appear in two or more corpora (24 in two, 11 in three, 1 in four); 48 are still single-corpus, and need more books to confirm or merge them.
- **Situations transfer between settings.** Keefe's baseball and army halves share 27 groups with at least two stories on each side. What does not transfer is the labour market: pay talks and threatening to leave need a job you are free to quit.
- **Stages are lopsided.** Every career corpus is thin at the top. Torchy's groups stage 32 low, 6 middle, 1 high; Lawson and Keefe have no high stage at all.
## Known limits
- **Two sides in one entry.** Several entries hold both sides of a situation, as v1's `benefactor` does: `gatekeeper` (keeping a door, or getting through it), `plea_for_help`, `freeloading` and `used`. A classifier or a pack must know which side the player is on.
- **Groups merged to pass.** In *The Diary of a Nobody*, two groups were formed by merging pairs that failed the recurrence rule separately. Treat those two as weaker evidence.
- **Recurrence units.** The log counts Wallingford by scheme and Torchy's stories 30 and 31 as one. It does not re-apply Nobody's non-consecutive-chapter rule, so it is more lenient there than that pack's README.
- **Scenes lost to splitting.** The 80-word tail rule drops short story endings: six in Torchy, five in Poe. Publisher's advertising sits in Torchy chunks 245, 736 and 737 and Lorimer chunks 179-185. It is in no group.
- **The option pilots.** Lorimer (41% `stated`) and Aesop (68%) have `options_by_entry.json` files that are not part of this catalogue. Their `stated` calls have not had a second reader. Spot checks found them lenient, Aesop's more so. The next round should allow two quotes per option (the move and its consequence) and have a second reader re-judge `stated`.
